Meter Buddy – The Meter Clocking App

We designed Meter Buddy for people in the natural gas industry who wanted an easy to use app instead of being reliant on flow charts for measuring the current usage of a gas meter.

Working closely with gas industry professionals who have spent years in the field, we came up with the a simple solution that does everything a meter reader typically does just by measuring a meter and entering the number. No more cross-referencing charts, dividing by dial size — just enter the number of seconds it took the smallest dial to make a complete rotation and you have exactly how to measure your gas meter in 1 easy step.

Built in expo, delivered to android and iOS, you can follow along with the entire development and design process as well as everything about how we marketed it, built youtube videos and wrote blog posts to help users discover this awesome little tool (links coming soon).
